The company held on February 7, 2014 a “Contract Quality Management Meeting” to discuss customer satisfaction surveys and issues concerning some of the projects in the last 2 years, as well as how the company can keep its edges in a competitive market, and develop stronger competitiveness than the competitors. Heads of level-1 departments and core staff of all departments were initiated to analyze the main issues with the company and respective jobs, and were divided into groups to devise solutions. An outline for contract quality improvement and organizational backup were primarily confirmed at the meeting, which also provided a good foundation to align visions for the “Strategic Workshop 2014” to be held on February 22 and the annual targets of 2014.
To enable the staff to better understand the LTC process and the issues with development of the company and improve the TOP solutions for contract quality, the company set up a designated Contract Quality Division and provided contract quality training for all staff, covering the responsibilities of the Contract Quality Division, the LTC process and the TOP improvement solutions for contract quality. Meanwhile, the staff also needed PDCA Execution of the contract quality work based on their respective job requirements. The action plan after the training explicitly specified to:
1) Assess the standard procedures for the business process;
2) Renew and optimize 7 LTC steps and key actions;
3) Improve the PDCA of specific positions for contract quality.
Jointly sponsored by the HR training unit and the contract quality division, the training program had covered the Xingming project, Yibin paper project, Yibin Global project, China Glass Linyi project, Taiwan Glass Donghai project, Taiwan Glass Changjiang project, Taiwan Glass Anhui Project and China Glass Wuhai project by March 31 and all trainings were tested too. Going forward, all divisions of the company will be trained and tested. All training is expected to conclude by the end of April.
